You'll never hear some of our balancing team say
von StevenCao am 02.11.2018 06:28The guarantee of 100 Operators is a claim. Do you really feel like it will become overwhelming as you keep on balancing the expanding roster? When you present a new Operator, there are balancing adjustments.

We recently created a group, therefore their sole focus would be that the balancing of Operators. This was created in response to Lion. It is made up of a game programmer, a data scientist, and a user researcher, and those 3 guys, they work together to identify which operators want some alterations. Whether they need a buff, a nerf, where that change has to be executed, to make certain that we get the desired result and do not affect how entertaining the operator would be to perform and that is their mandate.
So with a committed staff which ignites both qualitative and qualitative feedback with sport design, it enables us to balance our game in a that we are going to have the ability to keep on doing it, even with 100 operators. We're using Operation Grim Sky, at about 42, and our meta is in a place that is pretty great. I think that right there's a testament to their commitment and the job they've been doing, to be certain our match remains balanced, but also enjoyable to playwith.
There was lots of controversy shrouding Lion and Finka, due to their"global" skills that influenced all players simultaneously. Is that something you are still looking into for future Operators?
We learn a great deal that we release. And it is one of those things where sometimes, we learn things that we've completed which are excellent and we employ people to other Operators.
[...] You'll never hear some of our balancing team say,"Oh yeah, we got it perfect." You will never hear us say that. But we are learning and we're constantly improving. And being able to take learnings from things we've done in the past and apply that knowledge to future Operators is something which all of our game designers are really proficient at doing and it is something we're putting a focus on moving ahead.

We learn a great deal from all Operators that we release. And it is one of those things where sometimeswe know things that we've done which are excellent and we employ people to other Operators. And sometimes we learn things which are not so great, and we figure out how to apply those learnings to prospective Operators too.
